Be Rewarded Glossary

This glossary defines key terms and concepts used throughout the Be Rewarded platform.

Reference these definitions to better understand points, redemption options, and reward program features.

A

Admin Toolbox – The administrative control panel accessed through the Settings (gear) icon. Used by Super Users to view reports, configure permissions, and manage order data.
Amazon Business – A catalog integration that allows users to redeem recognition points for retail items directly from Amazon within the Be Rewarded interface.
Award Type – The classification of recognition points or milestone awards used to redeem items.

B

Be Recognized – Terryberry’s recognition platform that powers the awarding of points and achievements that flow into Be Rewarded for redemption.
Be Rewarded – The redemption platform where users exchange earned points or awards for tangible rewards such as merchandise, gift cards, or experiences.
Banner Section – The promotional header displayed on catalog homepages, showing announcements or featured products.

C

Cart – The virtual basket that holds selected items before checkout. Accessible via the top navigation bar.
Catalog – A collection of reward options available for redemption. Examples include Amazon, Terryberry Store, SWAG, and Premium Redemption.
Checkout – The final step of the redemption process where users confirm selections, delivery details, and point deductions.
Columns (Manage Columns) – Customizable fields in the Orders report that allow administrators to control visible data during report export.
Customer-Fulfilled Catalog – A catalog managed internally by an organization, where items are stocked, packaged, and delivered by the employer rather than Terryberry or external vendors.

D

Dashboard (Be Rewarded) – The administrator reporting view showing redemption activity, order details, and exportable data for audit purposes.
Digital Gift Cards – Electronic gift cards delivered to the user’s registered email address, typically fulfilled through RUNA.
Download Excel / CSV – The export feature in Order Reporting that lets admins save redemption data for financial or HR analysis.

E

Export – The process of downloading Order Reports to Excel or CSV formats for analysis, compliance, or auditing.

F

Favorites / Wishlist – A personal list where users can save products for later redemption. The list is specific to each catalog and does not carry across vendors.
Filters – Controls used to narrow search results by points, department, brand, or availability.

G

Gift Card Catalog – A catalog category offering digital or physical gift cards from multiple retailers, powered by RUNA or other providers.
Group / Department – Organizational divisions used for reporting or redemption visibility.

H

Home Page (Be Rewarded) – The main catalog view where users see featured items, categories, and search tools.

I

Integration – The connection between Be Recognized and Be Rewarded that allows points or awards to flow seamlessly into redemption options.
 Invoice Number – A field visible in order reports used to identify or reconcile financial records for each redemption.

L

Landing Catalog – The first catalog a user sees when opening Be Rewarded, based on their organization’s settings (e.g., Amazon or Terryberry Store).
Layout – The visual arrangement of sections on the Be Rewarded homepage, including navigation tabs, banners, and featured products.

M

Manage Columns – A control in the Orders dashboard that allows admins to customize visible report columns before exporting.
Milestone Award – A recognition type linked to years of service or career milestones that can be redeemed through Be Rewarded.
Multi-Catalog Access – The ability to move between multiple vendor catalogs (Amazon, Terryberry Store, SWAG, etc.) without re-login.

O

Order History – The record of all redemptions made by a user, accessible through the Orders widget or “View All Orders” link.
Order Reporting – The admin-level dashboard that logs all transactions across users, used for tracking and compliance.

P

Points Balance – The total points a user has available to spend in Be Rewarded. Displayed in both the Recognition sidebar and the Be Rewarded header.
Premium Redemption Catalog – A customer-specific catalog for high-value or exclusive rewards, available only when enabled in the organization’s configuration.
Product Card – A clickable tile displaying an item’s image, title, points cost, and description.
Program Administrator – The individual or team managing recognition settings, catalog access, and reporting permissions.

R

Redeem – The action of exchanging points or awards for an item or experience.
Redemption Flow – The process of selecting, confirming, and completing an order within Be Rewarded.
RUNA – Terryberry’s partner provider for digital gift cards and e-vouchers.

S

Scheme – The configuration settings that determine catalog visibility, available catalogs, and point rules for an organization.
Search Bar – A catalog feature that allows users to find items by keyword, product name, or brand.
Service Awards – Special milestones such as 5, 10, or 20 years of service that can be redeemed as rewards through Be Rewarded.
Settings (Gear Icon) – The icon in the top-right corner that opens the Admin Toolbox for users with elevated permissions.
SWAG Catalog – An optional catalog that includes branded company merchandise such as apparel and accessories.

T

Tabs (Catalog Tabs) – The navigation buttons at the top of Be Rewarded allowing users to switch between active catalogs.
Terryberry Store – A curated internal catalog managed by Terryberry featuring merchandise, gift cards, and recognition rewards.

U

Unavailable Item – A product temporarily out of stock or restricted from redemption due to shipping or policy limits.
User Functionality – Features and tools accessible to standard users, including browsing, redeeming, and viewing orders.
