Categories of Users in Be Well
Categories of Users in Be Well
Be Well includes several user types, each with a different level of access and a different set of actions available to them. Understanding these categories helps you know what you can do within the platform, what falls to your program administrators, and who to contact when you need something outside your own permissions. The exact features available to any user also depend on how your organization has configured its program.
Participants
Participants are the employees taking part in your wellness program. They track activity, join challenges and teams, connect devices and apps, engage with the activity feed, and work toward personal wellness goals. This is the standard user role and covers the majority of people in any Be Well program.
Team Leaders
Team Leaders are participants who take on additional responsibility for a team within a challenge. Alongside their own participation, they can manage their team's details, invite members, and track team progress. Whether this role is available depends on your program's challenge configuration.
Program Administrators
Program Administrators manage the day-to-day running of your wellness program. They create and configure challenges, manage participants and teams, send communications, and access program reporting. Their view of the platform is broader than a participant's, but the specific tools they see depend on the permissions assigned to them.
Company Administrators
Company Administrators hold the highest level of access. In addition to everything a Program Administrator can do, they manage program-wide settings, user data, privacy and security configuration, and organization-level tools. This role is typically limited to a small number of people responsible for the overall program.
