How to Recognize

Be Recognized makes it simple to highlight contributions that matter. You can recognize peers or teams in a way that’s personal, meaningful, and aligned with your company’s values.

Steps to Send Recognition

  1. Access recognition options:
    • Click Recognition on the Wall page
    • Or choose an action under Create a Post
  2. Select recipients:
    • Click +Add Users to search and select employee names in the bar.
    • You can also use group recognition to celebrate team efforts by selecting Department Name or Location Name.
  3. Choose recognition details:
    • Select a recognition level (value tier). It determines the number of points or the redeemable value of the award being nominated. 
    • Pick a nomination category (aligned with company values).
    • Hover to see category descriptions.
  4. Write the recognition story:
    • Share why you’re recognizing the person or group.
    • Use AI Recognition Coaching to refine text if you want. AI Recognition Coaching helps with tone and content by combining the existing employee-entered recognition message, the nomination categories, and a desired tone to draft a recognition message that is personal and specific to the behaviors being celebrated.
    • Optionally add images or GIFs.
  5. Adjust visibility:
    • Default is public (visible to all)
    • Toggle “Post privately” button for recognition visible only to sender and recipient.
  6. Submit:
    • Click Recognize
    • Receive confirmation
    • (Optional) Download a printable PDF certificate

Best practice: Be specific and genuine. Link recognition to company values for the greatest impact.
