FAQ About Roles in Be Recognized
What if I don’t know my role in Be Recognized?
Check with your admin. They assign roles and permissions during setup.
Can employees give awards?
Employees can nominate colleagues if the program allows it. Nominations go through the Approval Queue before being finalized.
How are points funded?
Admins set point budgets at the program level and configure funding rules. There are two types of funding:
Recurring Funding: Automatically allocated and expired at the beginning and end of each funding period. Can be configured as:
- Role-Based: Flat rate assigned to specific roles
- Individual: Calculated value based on the number of direct or indirect managed employees
One-Time Funding: Additional funding assigned outside recurring funding periods. Can be configured with or without an expiration date, useful for special recognition initiatives or budget adjustments.
Managers distribute points within their teams based on the funding they receive
Who can upload points in bulk?
Only Admins can upload point files. This is helpful for large groups or company-wide distributions.
Can I design my own eCards?
Only Admins can create and publish new eCards. Managers and employees can use those templates.
eCard design specifications:
- Recommended image size: 600 x 400 pixels
- Front and back: eCards can include both a front design (visible in the feed) and a back design (visible when the eCard is opened) with custom messaging
What happens if I leave the company?
Your IT administrator manages user lifecycle settings. Once your access is removed, you can no longer log in or redeem any remaining points or awards.
Why don’t I see certain tools, like awards or points?
Those features appear only if your role includes permissions. Security settings prevent unauthorized use.
